I Shoot Video!
I don’t do this as my main form of income but from time to time I don’t mind taking on a project or two for someone. So if you like the work that you see here or think that you may have a job for me, click on the Contact Me link at the top right of this page and send me a message, I’ll entertain all offers and let you know if it’s something that I can do for you.
I’m available for the videography of Corporate Events, Weddings, Birthdays, Quinces and even putting together Celebration of Life videos or montages.
Now on a more personal note, I finally found the time to start editing video from my collection that has been taking up space on my drives for way too long! Some of the videos here are personal and some are project videos that I’ve done for friends, family and customers.
The most recent videos were shot in High Definition on my Canon XH-A1 or my Sony HC1, the older videos were shot on my Canon XL2 or GL2 in Standard Definition.
I’m often asked what it takes to edit High Definition video, so I’ve posted my system system configuration:

Hagan’s Birthday – The Beginning- This video is 5 years in the making and is just the start in the series. I have so much work to do and a lot of hours of tape to go over, but I know that in the end it’s going to be worth it! This is a great video to watch before pressing play on the next video, how time flies! This footage is 4:3 standard definition shot on my Canon GL2.
Hagan’s Birthday – She’s 5- My princess turned 5 this year and with that came her first “big-girl” party, including a bounce house, pony rides, the best cupcakes in the world from Sams Club and dad shooting the event in High Def! Here are some highlights.
Tutor Time Graduation- Hagan starts Kindergarten this year and her daycare did a graduation from their head start Kindergarten program. Some parents shot video of their children, I did a 2 camera shoot with boom mics and edited it for DVD!
Friends, Family and Projects
Avondale Police Shop with a Cop 2009- My favorite event to shoot each year and this year was special because my footage made air on ABC15 here in Phoenix! I was able to implement some new elements this year that I’ve been wanting to use since I purchased the Digital Juice Editors Themekits on clearance earlier this year. Also had the opportunity to do some new creative shots thanks to Josh being my driver, this one I’m really pleased with!
Shop with a Cop ABC15- This is the package that ABC15 aired using my footage of this years Shop with a Cop event.
Phoenix International Raceway- This is a slightly different cut from the video that is on the main page. Ever since I shot this footage, I wanted to do this version, it’s still not 100% of what I envisioned, however it’s really close and this is the last cut that I am going to make of the footage. It’s still cool as hell!
Scottsdale Conservatory Theatre 2009- I was allowed the opportunity to shoot a performance of the Scottsdale Conservatory Theatre’s summer acting boot camp. While most of the scenes from the performance are copyrighted, this monologue done as a prequel to their take on Medea was not, and it was hysterical along with the rest of the performance.
Fun on a BMW R1100 Police Motorcycle- This video used to be in another project but I got so many questions about it that I gave it a featured spot on the video page.
Megan’s Retrospect- This clip is part of a compilation that I did for some very close friends whose daughter is going away to college this year. It features the ‘Ken Burns Effect’ made famous by the documentary filmmaker who simulates camera movement on 2D still images. This is extremely tedious work as each picture has to be mapped out to simulate the pans of the camera, it can take 5 to 10 minutes to do each image!
