I got tickets to the annual Kristi Yamaguchi & Friends Ice Show to be broadcast on November 8th on NBC and wound up at a Jonas Brothers Concert. Seems that along with all her ice skating friends, Kristi is also friends with the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt.

The event was really cool, given my seats, there is a great chance that I will be on TV at some time during the event unless I drove the production staff nuts by always having my camera up to my face when the skaters were in front of me or worse, upsetting the continuity by giving Alicia my jacket after intermission since she was cold.

Got some great pics, they are in the 2008 Best of Section of the site (Link) and the ear doctor says that I should get most of my hearing back by Christmas thanks to 18-Thousand screaming 12 year olds going crazy for Nick Jonas and his Brothers! Side note: Ok I have to admit they were actually pretty good.

My highlight in a day of meeting stars was the pic with Kristi Yamaguchi’s father (right) and Uncle (left). The “friends” were actually her skater friends from over the years which included some of the best ice skaters of recent years including Jamie Sale & David Pelletier Olympic Couples Gold Medalists, Nancy Kerrigan and her 3 kids, Viktor Petrenko, Jozef Sabovcik and his 2 sons and Jenni Meno & Todd San 3 time US Pairs Champs, again all the skaters had their children who skated in the show including Kristi’s daugher Keara who was adorable.
